In preparation for the holiday season, get on board the Leaskdale Loop's Artisan Christmas Crawl! Various small rural businesses including artists, makers, growers, farm markets, historical sites, and more will open their doors to inspire your holiday gifting, dining, and entertaining. Some will be hosting special events and activities to celebrate the season and bring you holiday cheer. Businesses will be open on the following days:

Opening hours vary. Pefferlaw Creek Farms will be open on each of those days from 10am to 3pm. Please check with individual businesses for their operating hours and information on what's happening at their location.

Pefferlaw Creek Farms' Maple Syrup Festival 2025
Visit our sugar bush and soak in the sights, sounds, and sweet smells of our beautiful farm! Come for a tapping tour, a sugar shack tour, hiking, taffy, a delicious pancake meal with local farmers' sausages and all-you-can-eat maple syrup, and live music (on select dates)! Our pancakes are made following a beloved family recipe with whole food ingredients. The pork sausages are fresh and picked up every week from Willowtree Farm.
Our festival will run Saturday and Sunday, from 9:30am to 3pm on the following dates:

Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival | April 5-6, 2025
This well-loved event attracts visitors from Toronto, Durham Region and the rest of the Greater Toronto Area – and even beyond! The festival offers a great opportunity to discover the many things that make Sunderland special, while celebrating the time-honoured Canadian tradition of making maple syrup.

On both days, River and Church Streets, Townhall, Arena and the Sunderland Public School will also be lined with vendors selling everything from syrup to toys, hand-crafted items, clothing and other great finds. Plus, Sunderland’s local shops are taking part in sponsoring many of the events.
